Harvesting with the moon

We can use the moon's path to determine the right time to harvest for conservation purposes :

• To harvest roots or tubers : a descending moon is preferable
• To harvest leaves, fruit, seeds and flowers : choose an ascending moon

The waxing and waning phases also have an influence on the crops :

• When the moon is waxing : better for preservation
• During a waning moon : better taste and increased healing properties of medicinal plants
